This Collaboration - An Explanation
It’s Tough On Your Own (Parkhouse Hill, February 2019)
No man is an island. Resources are finite. Skills are concentrated unevenly in people. Time is precious.
With these things in mind, why would one press on with a project on their own?
I was chatting to Chris back in late 2021 about the fact I had some studio lights and equipment but nowhere permanent to locate them. It turned out that Chris had an 8-metre long cavern of an office at the top of his house and a photographic bent of his own.
And so, after some time staring at the obvious, the studio was formed in November 2021.
Well since then, we’ve been thinking about how we could possibly get our fingers into everything that’s going around Melbourne and throughout the annual cycle.
Slowly we are joining up the dots. Opportunities are presenting themselves. The project is underway.
Meanwhile, we have our own specific activities. I am a carer based at home for part of every day of the working week. So I work from home and look after some small businesses in Melbourne and around the UK. I call myself The Stable Bubble, but that’s another story.
